DSL can provide loans for any business purpose, for instance: vans, equipment, staff costs, marketing, stock, websites and cashflow.

We will lend up to £30,000 for private businesses and up to £50,000 for companies whose profits are not distributed to private shareholders or owners – Social Enterprises.

DSL is not just about providing loans. We want you to be successful. We will provide feedback on your business plan, check if your cashflow makes sense and try to spot anything you might have missed – all of this is free.

For many businesses, getting a loan is just the start of their journey. We provide post loan support in the form of regular meetings scheduled to suit our clients. All support is free and clients are encouraged keep us informed about any opportunities or difficulties they may encounter.

Specialist support can sometimes be provided free of charge eg accountancy, sales. This support is supported by ERDF (European Regional Development Fund), enabling more in-depth and widespread support to clients than DSL could provide using our own resources.
