We are not a bank - we do not take deposits or offer account management.
DSL will provide feedback on your business plan to ensure your projections are realistic, where possible we will point out any missing costs or actions you still need to take. This is done free of charge.
DSL will then meet you to discuss your loan application.
If we say yes and you become a DSL client we will some and visit your business 4-6 times over the lifetime of your loan to provide help and guidance. We are also always available at the end of the phone.
DSL relies on unpaid volunteers to act as Directors of the company. We also have another bank of volunteers who help us make lending decisions.
DSL's board of directors is drawn from highly regarded senior executives from both the public and private sectors.
DSL has a fabulous bunch of volunteers who help us make lending decisions.
We recruit them from banks, business support agencies, accountancy firms and other business and finance related industries. They bring a wealth of knowledge, time and commitment to us, which we could never afford to repay in cash.
Thanks to them and, in some cases, their companies who allow them this time as part of a contribution towards social return.
All of our applicants will meet with the people who decide if they will get a loan or not. There will be one staff member and two to three of the volunteers below at each credit decision meeting with you.
