Keith Wyse had the idea of setting up his Fife-based waste management company while working as a sales manager for Dreams bedding stores, which also offered a bed disposal service. He thought about what other items could be uplifted to reduce landfill and launched Recycle Wysely.
Recycle Wysely, which received support from DSL Business Finance, specialises in commercial and domestic waste uplifts, such as house, garage and garden clearances. It also has a trade side to uplift waste from larger jobs, including property renovations.
Keith decided to apply for a loan from DSL to raise capital to move his business forward and buy materials and tools required for bigger projects. His business now has two vans and Keith employs three members of staff.
He applied online for funding from DSL and was contacted by loan officer Rekha Welsh who guided him through the process. Keith said: “Rekha was amazing at breaking everything down, took time to understand my needs and helped me move forward with my loan application. I would highly recommend DSL to anyone looking to start-up or expand their business. I can’t thank Rekha and the team enough.”
